Has previously worked for a couple of other communications agencies. In her work she tries to see the big picture of communications. Loves talking about food and eating it. Writes also an interior-decoration blog because home is where your heart is. Has studied speech communication at the University of Jyväskylä. Works as a Communications Consultant at Drum. On study leave until the end of September 2012.
Kristiina Hanhirova
Experience gained from TV news and current affairs programmes gives her a reporter’s view on communications consulting. A documentary scriptwriter, she’s familiar with Finnish business life and its history. A dedicated media coach who wants to make everyone a good performer. She keeps everything under control – except her dog, Zorro.
Eira Heinämies
An M.Sc. (Econ.) who’s studied communications, marketing and digital media. Works at Drum as an account manager. She’s been both an editor at an urban-culture newspaper and a press-officer for a student union. She’s also worked for Fonecta Group Communications responsible of digital communications and publications. A movie freak who likes writing, summertime and homemade smoothies.
Tiina Ilmavirta
Creative visualist who laughs a lot and is easy to enthuse. Admires Finnish design, loves graphic forms. Has studied package design and product graphics in Lahti Institute of Design. Experience from different advertising agencies and freelance work. Spends her spare time at the gym and at home with interior design magazines. Drum’s AD.
Susanna Isohanni
Communications expert whose heart beats especially for technology, B-to-B communications and social media. Wants the results of her work to be seen in the customer's bottom line. Is a successful, award-winning communications specialist with almost twenty years of experience under her belt. When not at work, likes to exercise and do handicrafts. Director at Drum.
Reeta Kaivola
A Project Manager at Drum, Reeta is the sunshine of our office – and has been so for quite a long time. She plans, executes and manages: everything and anything to get things done. She joined Drum from Orion where she was in charge of launching digital sales. An M.Sc. (Econ.) loves to be rolling around the world as much and often as possible.
Tero Kekki
A Partner at Drum and one of its founders. He worked for 20 years at MTV3 News as a reporter, a foreign correspondent in Asia and Africa and also as a news editor. At Drum, he works as a Communications Consultant, mainly dealing with societal and opinion-leader communications and PR. Likes to spend his free time with his family, playing golf and enjoying good food and wine. He’s a political scientist from the University of Helsinki.
Mikko Koivulehto
Mikko is a Communications Consultant and Partner at Drum. He focuses particularly on communications strategies, communications concepting and campaign consultancy and when needed he produces high-quality texts too. Before starting at Drum, he worked as a communications specialist, as Head of Communications, as a newspaper editor, as a copywriter and as Director of an advertising agency. Mikko’s motto: Say it so we feel it!
Hanna Litovaara
A Project Manager who sometimes works as a Consultant. She’s a BBA who’s worked with Nokia as a Communications Assistant, with Louder as a Project Leader and with Finnair as cabin crew. She enjoys her free time and her family is her hobby.
Elina Mattila
A Project Manager with degrees on M.Soc.Sc. and BBA in communication, marketing and film studies. While managing projects I give my output on the planning side too. Before joining Drum I worked at another PR agency, L'Oréal Finland and with a film and TV production company. My spare time is spent at the dancehall and outdoors. I'm also a film buff. My favorite hobby at the movies is spotting great and not-so-great product placement.
Saara Nikkanen
A long-time employee at Drum, Saara is an M.Sc. (Pol.) who’s studied communications and works as a Project Manager. A multi-tasker and a wordsmith who excels at excel. She definitely knows the ins and outs of corporate and product communications and she also has experience as a journalist. She jogs, cycles, rides horses and in addition to her day job, she handles communications for a racehorse. Her laugh is unmistakable.
Laura Pelttari
Laura is a BBA in advertising and corporate communication and she’s a Communications Specialist at Drum. She has experience in, among other things, marketing and customer services. Both a control freak and an incurable dreamer. She loves Helsinki, travel, good food, lazy Sunday mornings and her loony dog, Onni. A fan of the TV shows Jersey Shore and Tuuri.
Nina Pitkänen
Having worked in marketing communications from many different angles, this “city slicker” from eastern Finland earned her stripes in the world of beauty. She loves to communicate at length on anything ranging from construction to coffee to lifestyle trends. During her free time she does gymnastics, reads and likes to cuddle her four-legged friends. She’s a Project Manager at Drum.
Anssi Siukosaari
With a background in reporting, he set off to study communications in the USA and got his Master’s degree there in 1968. After that, he was Editor-in-Chief of Tuulilasi-magazine, Managing Director at the Finnish Information Centre of Automobile Sector and Communications Director at Scan Auto. A teacher and trainer of communications at the University of Helsinki and the Helsinki School of Economics for many years, in 2002 he was the first person in Finland to be awarded the Association of Communications Professionals Life’s-Work Award. He was a Communications Lecturer h.c. in 2008. Most importantly, Anssi is the founder of this communications agency. Currently our Senior Expert.
Maija Tommila
Managing Director of Drum and one of Drum’s founding partners. Her strengths lie in strategic communications planning and media contacts and she has a firm grasp of the client’s point of view. In addition to her experience at Drum she’s worked in the financial sector and for Nokia, where she was, amongst other things, in charge of EMEA-region communications. Also tries to be the boss of the three men in her family. Exercising and reading help her unwind.
Tiina Vasama
She joined our ranks from ABN Amro Financial Administration. An M.Sc. (Econ.) who graduated from the Helsinki School of Economics. At Drum, she’s in charge of financial administration and all kinds of other administration too. During her free time she focuses on family administration.
Leena Viitanen
Has worked previously as a journalist, press officer and marketing & site producer for Habbo Hotel. Now works as a Communications Consultant at Drum. Master of Arts, who wrote her thesis about Harry Potter fanfiction. Loves her cat Onni, and also art in various forms. Writes poetry and makes etchings. Spends way too much time exploring internet memes and irc.
Viivi Viitanen
Office and Communications Assistant at Drum. Studying communications and marketing at the University of Helsinki. Has worked at the Finnish Children and Youth Foundation as communications assistant. Loves her comfortable couch, her home district Kallio and her band Viivi&Pumpanen. Believes to be the next Idols winner.
