The HYVANTEKIJÄT of the Wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava awarded as the Communication Work of the Year

The best communication works of the year were awarded at the sparkling Finnish Comms Awards. The employer image work HYVANTEKIJÄT of Drum and the Wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava was awarded not only in its own category but also as the best communication work of the year.

Nominated in the corporate and community communications category, the employer image project for the Wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava, HYVANTEKIJÄT, won its own category and was also awarded as the Communications Work of the Year. The jury provided the following arguments for the win:

“A high-quality and inclusively designed entity that has had a wide-ranging impact in a very challenging situation. This work has both laid the foundations for a shared culture within the organisation and ensured that the communication of the employer’s image to the public is based on the organisation’s authentic experience, values and people.”

Wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava started operating at the beginning of 2023. In a time of change, the aim was to create a strong employer image that would engage existing employees and attract new ones. The idea was to create a communication that would inspire joy, enthusiasm and pride. VAKE employees were made the heroes of the employer image project. The brand has generated interest among job seekers. The number of applicants doubled rapidly and has been on the rise throughout the year.

Drum and Helen’s collaboration shortlisted

The launch of Drum and Helen’s energy education was also in the running in the Launch or PR stunt category. The whole family launch campaign talked about energy in a way that even children could understand. The multi-stage campaign brought energy education not only into the headlines, but also into homes and schools.                            .

Susanna Isohanni in the jury

There were also some familiar faces on the jury this year, as Drum’s leading communications consultant and partner Susanna Isohanni was involved in judging the best communications of the year.

“Judging was really rewarding and interesting, as you got to see so many different types of entries and the work behind them. I was particularly pleased with the long-term collaborations, but also with the work that used creativity and communication in a variety of ways to achieve a measurable goal – it feels like a natural approach for a Drummer,” says Isohanni.

The winners of the Finnish Comms Awards were awarded at the gala on 16 November 2023. A record number of entries were received this year.
